About Us
The Texas Marshal Association was created in March 1997 by a group of marshals in the North Texas area. The Association has since grown to represent agencies and members from across the state. Active membership is open to all Texas marshals, deputies, constables, warrant officers, bailiffs, or any Texas peace officer who serves warrants. Associate membership is open to all Texas judges and all non-sworn individuals interested in fostering the objectives of the Texas Marshal Association.
The association was created on the following objectives:
- To promote social fellowship among its members; and
- To instill in the members the spirit of cooperation and of the high regard of our calling; and
- To assert a wholesome influence on the education of the citizens of our state, especially with the purpose of inculcating respect for law and order; and
- To cooperate with Courts, Judges and branches of government, both state and national: and
- incorporate among the members a close personal acquaintance; and
- To receive, gather, and disseminate such information as might be helpful to members in the performance of duties: and
- To promote complete cooperation and unified action with the various law enforcement organizations of the state: and
- To defray such legal and other expenses as may be incurred in perpetuating the interest of the Association
